Nokia Quality of Service SRC Course Outline Document

The Nokia Quality of Service course presents and develops the theory, strategies, and techniques for implementing quality of service (QoS) strategies in an IP/MPLS network. The course introduces the key QoS performance metrics and explains the main functions of QoS needed to ensure that different traffic flows receive the treatment they require. The QoS functions of traffic classification, marking, queuing and buffer management, scheduling and rate limiting are explained in detail and are reinforced through hands-on labs that allow students to observe the impact of each QoS function. Upon completion of this course, students will gain a solid understanding of the concepts and principles of QoS, will understand the need for QoS and will learn how to implement QoS on the Nokia 7750 Service Router (SR) to achieve differentiated services.
