The Carrier Ethernet client cards for the Nokia 1830 Photonic Service Switch (PSS) -36/-64 systems use state-of-the-art, carrier-grade Layer 2 (L2) switches to provide packet-optimized transport over Optical Transport Networks (OTNs). These Carrier Ethernet client cards help operators deliver the full set of Carrier Ethernet services and manage the growing demand for Ethernet connectivity from the network access to the metro core.
